I think the part we are in is older than where Joules is but I'm not sure. Anyhow, it is referred to as "The Dolphin" on the door in St Thomas Street. We are above Maxims which is listed as part of the Dolphin. If you go up the rather modern looking staircase between Maxims and Joules you come out into a little courtyard which was added along with some new office structures around the mid 80's. It is all tucked away and you would never know it was thee from the outside!
We are The Evolutions Clinic and part of our offices is the old Dolphin building and part is the new bit. The old part has the lovely high ceilings and still has the original windows complete with original glass complete with all it's imperfections! Nice location to be in!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15169624838857683030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-47680516005410658262011-07-12T08:51:25.899+01:002011-07-12T08:51:25.899+01:00But it's a beautiful building and seems to my ...But it's a beautiful building and seems to my untrained eye to have two distinct styles.ChrisJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550420299395301062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-59215317985243350492011-07-10T16:35:41.772+01:002011-07-10T16:35:41.772+01:00I think before this the shop may have been an Elvi...I think before this the shop may have been an Elvi for 'larger' ladies.

Great that you remember the pub Keith, the Wykeham Arms is still there are as popular as everAmandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04638277344675453855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-70491293885778720582011-07-09T23:11:49.659+01:002011-07-09T23:11:49.659+01:00I remember that pub well, it was one of my favouri...I remember that pub well, it was one of my favourite watering holes, next to the Wykeham Arms of course.Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15200342372174623936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-27136652863697088362011-07-09T14:45:45.164+01:002011-07-09T14:45:45.164+01:00It's a very handsome place with great history ...It's a very handsome place with great history and architectural details!Leif Hagenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17268045909244159357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-67094632646367577102011-07-09T14:35:57.210+01:002011-07-09T14:35:57.210+01:00Wonderful old building, love the details.Wonderful old building, love the details.Regina Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03837700572358826612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6737316383156346517.post-52002879279382976972011-07-09T08:59:49.941+01:002011-07-09T08:59:49.941+01:00There wasn't a Joules there a few years ago, s...There wasn't a Joules there a few years ago, so now I am wondering who else has disappeared!

It's a beautiful building though, I feel guilty for not having paid more attention while I was there.janerowenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295097968168916092noreply@blogger.com
