D is for Drawings

At the beginning of 2010 the Winchester-based artist Claire Fuller set herself the goal of producing a drawing every day for one year. Her work is currently on display in the Theatre Royal in Jewry Street. She uses a mixture of ink, charcoal, and even the humble biro pen for most of her drawings. I particularly like the bottom right hand drawing as it reminds me of my son!

  1. Wonderful drawings! I wish I had some drawing talent, but it skipped a few generations. Went from my Grandmother to 2 of my children.
    Great "D" post.

  13. A very ambitious artist! Re. your comment: Hmong are refugees from SE Asia who have a huge well-established community in St Paul. The first wave of immigrants arrived after the end of the Vietnam War. Google Hmong to discover more history.

  14. What a wonderful idea to do a drawing a day. A bit like the movie Julia Julia where a budding author/ chef cooked a recipe a day and maintained a daily blog of the successes and failures.
