Doctors
Opposite the Friarsgate multi storey car park is the St Clements Doctors practice, it's not beautiful but is useful. This area is due for redevelopment at some point.
Not to me! I had the shock of my life when I first went there, I had been used to pretty, small country practices before. This one is so busy, and so big and impersonal. Flu jab days are packed with miserable humans.
Interesting that it is one of the places destined for the bulldozer, when are they going to start klnocking things down? There were lots of people trying to preserve the old antiques warehouse when I was there, in the middle of the ugly market street.
The plans were on to develop this and the market area you mention, but then the development company went bust. A new one has taken over, but no firm info yet. It looks like they're still trying to save the antiques place - see here Hampshire Chronicle.
Lots of orange on that building!
ReplyDeleteKind spring regards
Looks very much like a doctor's office.

ReplyDeleteYep, you are right it is not beautiful, but I have seen worse.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, my son and I signed the petition over four years ago now! I thought it would have gone by now, but I'm glad it hasn't.
