Book Sale

Here in the arches of the Cathedral's Deanery undercroft is a constant second hand book sale. Always good for a rummage!

    They've got some bargains in there & the money goes towards the upkeep of the cathedral I believe

    The former Dean's wife started it, Mrs. Till. I do remember one year it raised almost £3000. The incredibly old and very religious books were the slowest to go. I wish I had bought one or two of them now, they would make a wonderful punishment-read for a bad child!
