Ice Cream

I featured an ice cream van a couple of weeks ago on the blog, and the other day I saw this more traditional looking ice cream seller outside the cathedral. If you look closely you can see he has a bell instead of the ice cream tune to attract attention!

    I wonder why the uniform, umbrella and cart are all black. Wouldn't white be better to keep the ice cream cool?

    Possibly, but at the moment the the weather is cool enough to keep the ice cream nicely chilled!

    So simple and nice. I remember such carts going "ding a ling" from Chicago sixty years ago. But ours had not the style or umbrella or such a well dressed driver.
