The Pentice

The Pentice is a colonnaded walkway with row of old buildings, now all shops, within the High Street

    That was my favourite meeting-place in bad weather. Outside Boots!

    Is that a Starbucks I see? Maybe where Peacocks used to be. Or Blacks?

    The Winchester Mint was in the Pentice until the late 1200s when it burnt down.
