I was out on a bike ride recently and passed through the pretty village of Easton. The village is 2¾ miles North East of Winchester. Although technically this isn't the city of Winchester, but the village does lie in the district of Winchester. I stopped and took a photo of this pretty thatched cottage, and there were plenty of them in the village.
Very pretty cottages, not sure I would want a thatched roof but I love the old bricks. Paul at Leeds in Yorkshire daily photography
ReplyDeleteNow there's lovely, look you. It reminds me of home (mid-Wales). Those cottages look like they have been there since the world began.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cottages!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great image. This is my favourite place to take photos of thatched cottages. It is easy to get to , and really quiet, so it is easy to compose the shot.

ReplyDeleteI would move into this house right away !
Wow Neil, love your photo on Flickr of another thatched cottage in Easton, really lovely!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I'd like to live in a house with a thatched roof, but they are so lovely to look at.
Very cute! I hope those thatched roofs don't leak.
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful! I just discovered your blog - will have to google where Winchester is.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classic view. Nice!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a thatched roof on such a pretty cottage.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture, like a secret place from a childhood story.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a thatched mansion to me! LOL! It's amazingly huge. What's even better is that the units were imbued with abundant greens all over. You're so cool to drop by and take a perfect photo of that.
