The Railway

The Railway pub is one of the top live music venues in Winchester. Many famous acts have played here in the past, including Razorlight, Gary Numan and PJ Harvey.

The pub was built in 1883 and it's thought that the music room was originally built as a stable for livestock being transported to the nearby railway station. One of the upstairs rooms is believed to be haunted by a lady dressed in Victorian costume.

  1. I am a sceptic when it comes to hauntings, oh sure there is still lots we do not know or still yet understand.
As for the forthcoming gigs, they do have some interesting music makers coming up. Would not mind seeing a couple of them myself.

  2. There's a song I haven't heard for a while, Are 'Friends' Electric?

    Nice info here.

  3. I don't believe in ghosts either - though I like a good ghost story. My great-grandmother said before she died that if there was anyway to come back as a ghost she would do it ...we haven't heard from her since..!
