Deans Garden

On Saturday the Dean of Winchester opened his usually private gardens to the public. The gardens are lovely and so is the building itself.

  2. I remember visiting those gardens several years ago when there was a fete/charity event. The Isle of Wight Garlis Farm had a stall and I bought a HUGE garlic seed-bulb. I duly planted the cloves and up came . . . ordinary small bulbs, the like of which I could buy in any supermarket!

  4. We used to hold the school fete there - I wonder how he and his wife coped with the noise all day! He kindly used to buy all sorts of things he couldn't possibly want.
