Winchester, ancient capital of England and judged best place to live in the UK in 2006!
Hello again. Having had a week of extra obligations and no time, I'm just getting caught up with all your posts. When one sees them all in a row one realizes what variety there is in Winchester DP. You find interesting things to tell about every place, large or small.
It looks like a rather nice place to live. Glad they still have places like this.
I have just found your blog via ChrisJ ( Flamblogger). You are not far from us ( we are in the New Forest) and a day out in Winchester is always a pleasure. I like your idea of one or two photos each day, showing a different aspect of the city.
That church is from 1135? I'm embarassed - our city just celebrated it's 150th anniversary last year...Regards from EAGAN daily photo
Thanks for the kind comments Dina!Dartford Warbler - I know lots of people who live in the New Forest, will drop by your blog & have a lookLeif - 1135 - it sounds like the time rather than a date, it's that long ago!
One of my friends got married from there, it was such a beautiful setting.
Those windows are beautiful.
What a beautiful place!
I didn't know they held weddings there, it would be a lovely setting
