Cryptic Post!

I wish I could post more on what happened near our house 2 nights ago, but I'm not quite sure what it was! The label of this post gives some clues and I have been scouring local websites such as this one or this to find out what went on, but nothing so far! At the time it was very tempting to take photos but my other half said I might get in trouble (see here)! The next morning we found something highly suspicious in the location of this photo and believe it must be somehow connected to the previous night's activity...

  3. I'm glad it wasn't your house! When we bought our house at Oram's Arbour we couldn't understand why there was a very painful strip of sharp toothed plastic all along the tops of the wall and fencing, until we realised how many burglaries there are in that area.

What did you find? Did you have to hand it in?

  5. Perhaps the wheelie bins hold the key to solving this particular mystery...

  7. I too am a photographer not a terrorist. My mate is a national press photographer (Times, Telegraph, Indie, Guardian) and works for a well known picture agency but he too has had problems with some members of the police not seeming to know what he can legally do.

  8. The thought of terrorists in Winchester seems laughable, but then that could be the very reason why they would choose to live there.

  9. Well, I don't know what it was that went on the other day, the area was swarming with armed police who appeared to, after a while, arrest someone living in a house nearby. They then seemed to be searching for something with dogs. The next day we found a big knife hidden behind the wheelie bins which the police then came to pick up! Yikes! It was tempting to take some photos, but I'm not sure how it would have been received!
