Skaters

The ice rink in action this afternoon, pretty quiet which is good as skating with a whole bunch of people is not fun! The Independent newspaper has recently voted Winchester Ice Rink as the 2nd best in Britain!

    How lovely, to have the rink to yourself like that! You could fall over as often as you liked with no stress, if a few bruises.

    Funny, I stopped at Versailles' ice rink on my way home from work yesterday evening. There were 4 kids texting on the (fake) ice, no one else... This is splendid!

    Today they have opened a "mini" ice skating in Waterloo, just enough for a few kids, lol ! But in Brussels there is a very big one.

    I wondered if you had seen the story.. Ours here in Leeds gets pretty crowded and does not start till mid January.

    The Christmas market has closed, but the ice skate is still here for a bit longer into the new year
