City view

This is the view of the High Street and Broadway from St Giles Hill. You can see the statue of King Alfred, and the Guildhall on the left with the green colour roof, also in the distance the Westgate and the Great Hall (where the orange lights seem to be shining)

  2. A great view across the city. Here in Leeds I would have to gain access to a tall building and these days you have to get past security people who can only think of reasons why you cannot get access.

  3. I like it. So much better than seeing all the cookie-cutter rooftops you get here in the U.S. I like the road winding through the scene.

  4. Hi David, you're right, it's a great viewpoint over Winchester.

Paul, that's a major pain, fortunately we are lucky enough to have a hill that can't be cordoned off!

    Thanks April!
