Garden by the river

The photo doesn't capture it too well but there are a number of houses that back onto the River Itchen and have gardens down to the river bank.

    . . .and some have private bridges across the river, pretentious sods! I want a house by the river.

    Me too! I used to fantasise about having one of those houses. However - they did flood, in the past.

    I enlarged and saw the patios and planters. I bet that is quite a relaxing place to sit and chat with friends.

    They are quite nice, though I never see anyone down at the bottom of the gardens sitting by the river!
